Frequently Asked Questions
Q - How much do you charge?
Sessions are £60 for 50 minutes, and are payable by bank transfer on the day of the session.
Q - How do I make an appointment?
You can contact me by phone or email. Please leave a voicemail if I am unable to answer. I aim to respond to your enquiry within two working days.
Q – How many session will I need?
This can vary, as it depends on your reasons for coming to counselling. This is something we can discuss together in the first session. With less complex issues, time limited counselling might be suitable and this is normally in the region of six sessions. Open ended therapy is just that, and suited to those wishing to work through life changes, or past experiences that maybe affecting the present. We review every six sessions to assess if the work is helpful for you and if you would like to continue. Working ethically, I foster independence and will never encourage you to have more sessions than you need.
Q - What happens if I need to cancel?
On occasion it maybe necessary to cancel a session if you are unable to keep your appointment. There is a minimum notice period of 48 hours for all cancellations. If the required notice is given then you will not be charged for the session. Cancellations after this period will be charged.
Q - How does online counselling work?
Using Zoom or Facetime, we would arrange a call. With Zoom I would send you a login link prior to our session. Zoom does not need to be downloaded onto your device. With Facetime I will phone using the number provided.
