Hello and welcome to my page. My name is Alex, and I am an experienced and qualified integrative counsellor and psychotherapist working with adults and young people 18+.

I understand that life can be a struggle at times, and that thoughts and feelings may feel overwhelming. Perhaps a current situation is troubling you, or past events are affecting your present, leading you to feel lost, anxious or drained? We may have ways to manage, but perhaps these are not enough, and coping alone becomes too much.

Whatever your difficulty, I can help you to find the solution or a way to come to terms with what is happening, or has happened. The answers are often within us, we just need a little help to find them.

As an integrative counsellor, I am able utilise different elements from several therapeutic models (psychodynamic, humanistic, solution focused, transpersonal and transactional analysis), tailoring my approach to your individual needs.

Warm and supportive, I listen in a way that is non-judgemental; I will not tell you what to do, but rather facilitate you finding your own answers and decisions through an objective lens, enabling you to make sense of your feelings and gain a deeper understanding. Re-framing your experiences, in the context of a nurturing therapeutic relationship, can be a powerful catalyst for healing, affording a sense of liberation and change that is both sustainable and significant.

I offer a free 20 minute telephone consultation to discuss your needs and see if I am the right practitioner for you. I understand that finding a counsellor can feel like a daunting prospect, so please don't hesitate to get in touch should you have any questions.
